Are you implying that I am an optimist,
Or are you just hoping for the moon?
Are you aware that by using such tricks as this
You might not get past the afternoon.
What gives you the right to slander me in this way?
And call me such names I’ve never heard.
In defaming my character what will the
Right minded members of society say,
As they shun me, and believing every word,
I’ll lose my tie,
My shirt,
My pension,
My friends,
My dwelling’s roof
And gable end,
My calls and most of all,
When the day ends, my self respect;
Who the hell will you call bad names next?
